Since graduating high school my aunt and uncle wanted to take me somewhere and travel. They let me choose pretty much anywhere I wanted in the world. My decision was Belgium. I chose Belgium because this is where my heritage is from and I still keep in touch with the relatives that live there today. I went on this trip on August 1st and returned on August 10th. This was my first time leaving the country and it was a great time. I got to see the main cities, try local foods, learn the history, and meet my relatives. The cities are incredibly different than anything around here, and the architecture is cool. Meeting my relatives was nerve-wracking but once I got to know them just a little more it was a fantastic experience. I got to spend all day with them learning about them and the city. This was definitely my favorite part of the trip.
